Does anyone know what "Die Schnapspfeife" is and to use it?

I just recieved a set of two of them. Small cylindrical gl flasks with a gl "straw" going up the side. I has a cork in the top, and the other has a small vent hole, with no cork. Any knowledge of these? There is a "users manual'' on the inside of the lid, But I cant read German.
