Fantasy Football. help me please?

I was watching the Packers Lions game earlier and witnessed Ryan Grant fumble at the 1 yard line resulting in a safety for the Lions. I looked at my opponent (Who has the Packers D/ST) and I notice they were given 2 points and a safety. I do not understand this. Can someone help me?
